1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files placed on a device when a website is visited. They can support security, remember settings and provide aggregated usage information. Local storage is a related browser technology that stores data for a website without sending that information automatically with every network request. In this policy, “cookies” may refer collectively to cookies, local storage and similar technologies unless a distinction is necessary.
2. How we use them
Curviominglemint Media Ltd uses essential browser storage to remember your consent selection and keep the site functioning predictably. Optional analytics may help us understand which guides are useful, how visitors navigate and whether pages experience technical problems. Optional functional technologies may remember convenience settings. We do not activate non-essential categories until consent is recorded where applicable.
3. Cookie categories
| Category and example | Purpose | Typical duration | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
Essential: curvio_cookie_choice | Stores accepted, rejected or customised consent choices in local storage so the banner does not reappear on each page. | 180 days | Always active |
| Essential: security/session controls | Supports request integrity, abuse prevention and reliable delivery if enabled by our hosting provider. | Session to 24 hours | Always active |
Analytics: curvio_analytics | Would measure aggregated page visits, navigation and device categories without using information for targeted advertising. | Up to 13 months | Off until accepted |
Functional: curvio_preferences | Would remember optional interface settings such as reading preferences beyond the essential consent record. | Up to 180 days | Off until accepted |
4. Consent choices
The cookie banner offers three options. “Accept All” permits essential, analytics and functional categories. “Reject Non-Essential” permits only essential storage. “Preferences” lets you select optional categories separately. You may revisit your decision by clearing the site’s stored data in your browser; the banner will then appear again. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier processing unlawful.
5. Browser opt-out instructions
Most browsers allow you to inspect, delete and block website data. In Chrome, open Settings, then Privacy and security, followed by Third-party cookies or Site settings. In Firefox, open Settings, Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data. In Safari, open Settings or Preferences, Privacy, then Manage Website Data. In Microsoft Edge, open Settings, Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data. Mobile menu names can differ by version.
You can usually remove data only for curviominglemint.lol rather than deleting all browser history. Private or incognito browsing commonly deletes local data when the private session ends. Browser-level “Do Not Track” signals are not implemented consistently across the web. Where legally required and technically supported, we will honour recognised universal opt-out signals for covered activities.
6. Consequences of blocking
Blocking analytics or functional cookies will not prevent access to our articles. If you block or repeatedly clear essential local storage, the cookie banner may return because the site cannot remember your choice. Hosting security technologies may also be needed to distinguish normal traffic from abusive automated requests.
7. Third parties and changes
Embedded or externally linked services may set their own cookies after you leave our site or interact with their content. Their practices are governed by their policies. We may update the cookie table if providers, purposes or durations change. Material additions to optional tracking will remain subject to consent where required. For information about personal-data handling, see our Privacy Policy.
